The SAFE Keeper

Best prices and service since 1990.

Summit sets the standard to the highest level attainable. Never satisfied with the “ status quo “ they constantly redevelop and engineer our safes, so that they are at the top of safe design, security and protection of your valuables.

It is ashame that in today’s safe industry, manufacturers try to confuse people with made up words, confusing fire ratings, and techno mumbo jumbo to give you a false sense of security. Bottom line, safes should be made with plate steel. Not 10 gauge or 12 gauge, but steel. Our thinnest metal we use is 3/16” thick, which is the same as two layers of 12 gauge. And 10 gauge is not much thicker than 12 gauge.

No one wants to talk about how thick the steel is that they use. They only state overall body thickness, which are just layers of sheet rock.

Let’s talk about security. YOUR SECURITY.
There are countless videos on YouTube and other sites, showing safes being broke in to with just a crow bar. Is this the level of security you want?

Summit Safes start with plate steel, 3/16” minimum(except for the Cascade series ). Fully welded body construction, no 10 or 12 gauge. The doors are recessed. Their locking bolts are notched to grab the frame during a pry open attack. A spring loaded relocker is in place, to protect against a sledge hammer attack. They use multiple layers of hard plate, making drilling the safe extremely difficult. Their over center cam device, protects from a side punch attack. They use Sergeant & Greenleaf locks, which have an additional relocking device for burglary. And finally their glass plate relocking system with a remote locking bolt. Will protect against torch, drill, prying and hammer attacks.

Any gun safe you buy should have an R S C security rating. That stands for residential security container. But with Summit Safes you can have a Class “ B “ rate safe, which is a much higher level of security. You will not find a more secure safe than Summit.
